Underwater Bridal Shoot

Check out these shots from one of the funnest experiments I have done to date… A bridal shoot in a swimming pool!

For our gorgeous model Charlie’s look, I used a water resistant foundation and concealer to even out her skintone, a rosey watercolour stain on the cheeks and waterproof mascara.  This was also the perfect opportunity to pull out my bright coloured theatrical paint palette, blending the colours together to create the shades I wanted for the lips and eyes.

Having not tested the makeup out beforehand, I had no idea how it would turn out so as soon as Charlie dunked her head in the water and we realised the makeup wasn’t running all down her face, there was a big sigh of relief! One thing I learnt from this shoot is that you really have to pump up the makeup as the water diffuses the colours.
